Trump's role since Biden took office is to be soft and ineffective. He'll probably be "in jail" during the election and the immediate chaos after Biden steals it again. Trump's role now is to be kind and gentle so that he can be brought back into power after everything settles down. If he was all fire, brimstone, and retribution, people would be scared.
