If I am reading the graph correctly, overall the trend line of the highest peaks is actually down, so that perhaps over a few million years (if the trend continued as is) the high points would be as low as the medium or lower points, meaning that the earth is not only cooling between the high points, but cooling overall.
Furthermore, we are entering the first big dip after a high point, and this occurs over the course of the next 25,000 years. You and I won't be around to see that : ) But it's going to be cold and icy.
