Agreed, as I understand it, most of the shorts bought when the price was very low expecting the company to go bankrupt. If the price of the stock was less than a dollar a share and they loaded up on short positions, then they cannot get out now without committing corporate suicide. No wonder they keep kicking the can down the road. As the stock price increases, then, their margin increases, eventually they won’t be able to afford the margin and MOASS. I’m not selling!
