Happy Father's Day to all the great Patriotic Dad's in America!
Thank You for instilling Pride in our Great Nation, our Flag, our Constitution, and our Awesome Veterans (without whom we would not be here to celebrate) in your son's and daughters!
I spent my Father's Day afternoon helping my daughter with her physics class homework. A lot of those formulas I haven't touched in a very long time, so I had my Raspberry Pi computer next to me on the kitchen table looking stuff up to help her. I learned that the shortcut to convert meters per second to kilometers per hour is 18/5. So 5 meters per second becomes 18 kph. Neat.
Then for dinner, I made my daughter's favorite cream spaghetti. The sauce is simple: stir fry some bacon or smoked salmon with a bit of garlic and basil, then it's one medium carton of heavy cream, and after you dump it into the sauce pan, add about 1/3rd of that carton with marsala wine. Simmer it to cook out the alcohol, then add chopped spinach. She loves that. Despite getting soaked in a sudden rain downpour while I rode my bike home from doing some quick shopping in the evening, it was a good day.
How AWESOME!! Thank you for telling us this. I lost my father to Cancer and I miss him. This day you had made me so Happy Fren!
I was Daddy's Girl. I loved (Most of the time) when he helped me with my homework. We would have disagreements, but it was all part of us "discussing" the homework.
I am going to have to try that dinner!!!!!!! Have you tried it with bacon AND smoked salmon? You REALLY had me at 'heavy cream'.
I used to have a Harley Sportster 883 Low, but I let someone 'borrow' it a long time ago and they wrecked it and it ended up getting auctioned off. :-(
But, that is ok.
THANK YOU AGAIN for sharing your day!!! Makes me HAPPY!!
You're welcome! Yeah, go nuts with the recipe. I worked at a pasta restaurant and they served a smoked salmon cream sauce spaghetti. I peeked in the recipe book and saw how extremely simple it was. I once tried it with regular white wine and it was not as good. The marsala wine is best. I forgot to mention that I added beech mushrooms. Here in Japan these are more common than the white/brown mushrooms I was used to in America.
Happy Father's Day to our Patriot family! Thank you for being an example of Strong Men! God bless you all! 🙏💪
Love this Pepe!
