As an ex-leftist myself, I'm willing to accept a genuine change of heart, but sadly we'll never know for sure.

Then again, maybe that's why he was killed.

I’m not sure about Imagine, but I was surprised to hear that he wished Strawberry Fields and Lucy In The Sky were never produced.
