The line "Everything will disappear" has been weighing heavy in my mind since I heard it in a song recently. I feel like nothing that we are doing right now matters because something is going to massively change the status quo, sometimes to the point where the motions of every day life do not feel real.
I have been dwelling on this as well. I am starting to believe it will be such an immediate event that my response will be similar to "oh, there it is!". Like finding something I have been searching for.
1 Corinthians 15:52 (KJV)
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
Revelation 6:12-17 (KJV)
12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
I am not particularly religious but I do find eschatology very interesting though not something I've taken the time to dig into, thank you for the relevant passages. I definitely have felt like something big has been coming and could happen in my lifetime even from a young age
Reminds me of the lyrics of My Lord What a Morning, in part: My Lord what a morning, my Lord what a morning, "My Lord what a morning, when the stars begin to fall."

In this case I am referencing Gorillaz - New Gold that has fairly interesting lyrics overall.
