Holy Father, I have embraced my recent epiphany regarding reinterpreting Nietzsche’s quote: « when you stare into the abyss, the abyss stares back into you. ». Its opposite has to be true and thus I know that when I smile to You, You smile back to me. This could become my motto. I praise You for inspiring me this and pray people everywhere consider smiling to You.
AGENDA
Today we celebrate Æthelthryth.
Æthelthryth (c. 636 – 23 June 679 AD) was an East Anglian princess, a Fenland and Northumbrian queen and Abbess of Ely. She is an Anglo-Saxon saint, and is also known as Etheldreda or Audrey, especially in religious contexts. She was a daughter of Anna, King of East Anglia, and her siblings were Wendreda and Seaxburh of Ely, both of whom eventually retired from secular life and founded abbeys.
