NCIS investigating after major general is found dead at Twentynine Palms Marine base

Maj. Gen. William Mullen, 59, was found dead at Twentynine Palms military base Saturday. The Naval Criminal Investigative Service is investigating.

He may have been retired. Whether he was or wasn’t changes based off the sources I’ve found. I’ve seen some stating he was retired. Others saying still active just in charge of a training program as opposed to being active in day to day Marine Corps Operations and or being the Base Commander.
