Music in general is a loaded gun (I make music, hiphop no less, and i'll be the first to say how alot of that genre is absolute brainwashing and the satanic worship is very very evident these days)
But, I use that metaphor because a loaded gun isn't scary until you find out who is holding it and what their intention is. The same gun that can harm an innocent is the same one that can save them.
rock and roll isnt inherently evil but the industry that puts it into the publics ears certainly is. how many god-loving musicians never got their shine yet countless scoundrels got millions?
There are some good books written about how rock and roll was there to twist the minds of the youth - who had been very "clean cut" and family oriented, unlike today. How the Beatles may have been a creation of the Tavistock Institute, to encourage sex, drugs, LSD and hedonism among youth. How many rock and roll stars (including Hendrix) were formerly had military backgrounds (he was a paratrooper) - therefore were government employees at one time - and you know how they like to experiment on servicemen. Jim Morrison's father was a famous admiral who was responsible for the kicking off the Vietnam war - yet another military connection.
When you see how our society has gradually fallen apart since the 60's it becomes more obvious this may have been an agenda to destroy the family and society in general to weaken the country - and it for the most part, it worked. Combine that with the rise of feminism during this time and you have the chaos, division and broken families we have today.
But you're right. Music is a loaded gun. It depends on who is pulling the trigger, what's coming out of the barrel and who it's aimed at.
when it was just some expression that people who nobody cared about besides their community was doing it - that stuff was harmless, and fun. But then money got involved and, well actually....
This seems real familiar like I"ve read it before. Didn't 50 cent come out and say something similar to this? That the music industry is owned by the same people as the record industry. Not sure, but I think he said it in an interview with Bill Maher. In any case, good luck with your music and wherever you take your career. I hope you can save it.

To this day some say it's real some say it's not. But, you should take a look at this : https://www.hiphopisread.com/2012/04/secret-meeting-that-changed-rap-music.html
its not very long, if it was a book it wouldnt even be 2 pages. But, I personally believe it when I see what my genre has turned into today.
