Disagree entirely, attributing implicit worship because of the existence of a statue is obtuse. That is a piece of commemerative history. I can't say it doesn't happen, but I have never heard of anyone worshiping a statue of one of the founding fathers.

Yes.. but it is assuming those who have a statue. Is somehow better than others.
The founding fathers belong in books. Put their photo in a book.
Which communicates in the context of their importance.
This is the line of thinking that has allowed the removal of so much of our culture and past.
And whether you like it or not, someone like Washington was more important than others at the time but not "better" than anyone else as you put it.
