It’s so stupid to have someone shorter than you trying to protect you from a bullet. Common sense says they should be as tall as the President.
That lady is now as famous as fjb for being an international joke
That is one of the problems with the DEI practices as implemented - they are not really fair to the people who get in because of those in spite of not being actually qualified either.
That woman, or all of them, who are now jokes, and especially the main lady, will probably never be able to live down what happened during that shooting, especially since it was filmed by multiple rally goers and is now all over internet, permanently. And it may very well ruin their lives.
One question about that whole thing is, BTW, did those women took the job - guarding the President during that rally - voluntarily, or were they ordered to do it, with no chance to refuse even if any of them had wanted to because she knew she was not really qualified to do it?
More than just the DEI secret service... the entire law enforcement structure and security for the event was a pathetic example of incompetence.
Even if every secret service agent was a 6'-6" tall 300 lb gorilla... it still doesn't change the fact that a shooter was known to be on the roof checking his sights, carrying a rifle, accessing a roof with full view of DJT and setting up to shoot for approximately 1/2 hour.
The police lost track of a man with a rifle for nearly an hour... and they knew he was somewhere within 400 feet of the President... and yet security wasn't notified? You had snipers waiting for orders? Nobody was communicating?
It seems that this clown show had MANY clowns. The DEI secret service were just several of the clowns. Even if that part wasn't an issue... it would still have been a full fledged clown show.
I don't think anybody should be banned from a job based on their ethnic background, or even their sex. But that should definitely not mean that they should have any kind of preferred status either, or that there should be arbitrary percentages filled with certain sex or ethnicity or anything.
Make a list of what the job demands, and what would be ideal for that job. Physical and intellectual abilities, and what kind of education they have.
Then take in candidates who fulfill those demands, and the best qualified get in.
When it comes to sex or color, as some diversity is necessary in some jobs, like police, as they need to be able to blend in at times, and when it comes to something like Secret Service guarding people, some of those they do guard are and will be women so at least some women are needed for those occupations - well, pick the candidates who get highest scores in their category.
So, you need some number of women, get ones with the highest scores - and even so there should be some sort of lower level they absolutely have to get over when it comes to something like their physical abilities - and take those ones so you can get the numbers needed.
But those "numbers needed" should be based on the actual demands of the job, not some arbitrary percentage that would look "nice". For example, most of the details watching over the female members of a President's family should still be men, but there presumably should be at least a couple of female agents per detail so they can accompany her to places men aren't welcome (or shouldn't be...), changing rooms, toilet etc.
And I can't think of any reason why the details watching over men should have even a single woman in them. Unless there happened to be some wonderwoman who is taller than most men and was able to beat at least most of the male candidates when it comes to her scores. Not bloody likely, but if somebody like that did exist, and could prove herself and wanted that job, hell, then give it to her. Fair is fair.
It damn well should not be that hard to figure out...
As an example of this lawfare DEI ridiculousness. The testing for firefighters was deemed too difficult for certain ethnicities so they got to skip them. Also the need to carry a hundred and sixty pound dummy was deemed excessive. So people who could not carry these test parameters were allowed wavers to the testing. Get it. So now undeserving candidates are getting promotions and moving up the ladder of success without putting in the time or effort. I will give you a hint, I feel like I'm wasting my breath.
