Silver Dave is a prepper type and owns a mint that makes fractional silver coins and bars.He and Yankee Stacking attended an event that was at a campground where everything was bought and sold with silver bartering.
I wouldn't buy fractional silver, the premiums are too high. I'm pretty sure in a barter situation that I can just buy enough products or services to equal one oz, or they will give me change in fractional silver someone else paid too much for.
1 oz is the sweet spot for both gold and silver. You buy a 100 oz bar of silver, its not much of a savings in price, and you will also get less per oz than you would with 1 oz, 5 oz, or 10 oz bars.
OIC, event seemed kinda hippy. I like Yankee Stacking and his LCS owner Tim, but I wouldn't buy from the shop, premiums are too high in LCS. Its hard enough getting your money back.
LCS favorite customers are the ones who trade one metal for another, they get premiums from both sides of the trade.
I like Silver Dave, but I think he was selling fractional silver at 4 bucks for 1/10th of an ounce, and I'd rather not pay that high of premium. I did enjoy watching the videos from his mint though.
I'm weird, I don't collect anything, my stacking is to keep my lil' nest egg from going blip in the night.

At least be fair in your smudging.

Silver was accepted by many as an optional form of payment same as typical forms of payment.
