In the Bible, the Lion of Judah is a prophetic symbol referring to Jesus Christ.

According to Genesis 49:9 and Revelation 5:5, Jesus is the Lion of the tribe of Judah, worthy to open the scroll and its seven seals. This symbolism is rooted in Jacob’s blessing of his son Judah, where he describes him as a lion’s cub and a lion.
