I agree. In the past, the boy would have been ridiculed for speaking out about a forty year old woman having sex with them. But a girl saying the same about a forty year old man, sure brought out the pitchforks of justice. So to me, this story helps to make it clearer that nowadays, the predators that go for the underage are equally accountable.
