I have dabbled with Linux the odd time but never really liked it. However, Microsoft is becoming far too intrusive so I have replaced the disk in an old laptop with an SSD and have installed Linux Mint with the Cinnamon desktop that seems to be all the rage at the moment. I have to say, it looks quite promising.
Command line? I started using computers about a decade before PCs were invented so that is not a problem!
Metoo! It restricts me from using zoom and probably a lot of things I don't know about.
I don't know how much longer they will allow the use.
I never do the recommended upgrades either.
I tried to learn Linux but it was hopeless - I just don't have that much left brain.
Well, thanks to the new anti-trust ruling against Google, hopefully Chrome won't come "standard" on every PC and Android device, and therefore won't be used to spy against us. Did y'all know that even if you use a different web browser/search engine, that it continues to spy and will send ALL of your daily data back to HQ every day between 2-3 am?
Don't use google chrome, problem solved.

I use AdNauseam - advertisers hate this one little trick!
The least one could do is go CHROMIUM, or BRAVE.
