Magnitskiy was not a lawyer. He was an accountant responsible for laundering money out of Russia for Browder et al. His death in a Russian prison due to decease? was more beneficial to Browder and KM than to russian authorities that were robbed. Due to his lies and connections to Obama Browder helped to establish a legal mechanism (Magniskiy law) for the sanctions against Russian officials in order not to repay the solen by Browder funds. Interesting, that after this law was implemented Putin banned adoption of Russian children by americans
