Internet History Hacked, Wayback Machine Down—31 Million Passwords Stolen

Hackers have seemingly done the impossible and hacked the past. In this case, that past is the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine. Here’s what we know so far.

TPTB want all information to be a) under their control, which includes them using propaganda/lies at will and b) replacing/destroying any content which controverts their dreams of power.

They also want to turn information, and publishing in general, into real estate for which they are the sole landlords.

We need a return to the Founders' view of copyright and patents: creators get a 7-year ownership frame, then it is turned over to the public and innovators.

Holy shit. Big if true. I’m surprised this doesn’t have moar upvoats and comments. To me this could be a precursor to the internet going down. I mean they’d likely need to scrub it before they rub it so it’s al nice and clean when it comes back on. Just muh feelz.
