Stop antacids asap. They only make things worse. There are other options as people mentioned. I did well by eating yogurt after dinner and sleeping on a slant with the head of my bed higher than the foot of the bed. Use bricks to elevate the head of the bed and buy a wedge pillow or stack several pillows in a staircase type of arrangement. Also, don't eat anything for a few hours before bedtime. Cut back on fried foods, and spicy foods, see if that helps. Other things to try avoiding: carbonated beverages, caffeine, alcohol.
When it's bad a night I sleep with 2 pillows and if it doesn't bug my husband, I raise the head of the bed a little. Sometimes he's ok with it and sometimes he's not, lol.
I hardly eat fried or spicy foods because of the acid, and don't drink sodas or other carbonated drinks, no alcohol and only sometimes coffee.
