This is not a military coup. These were police officers in South Ayalon. They were putting out fires during a protest: israelpalestine.liveuamap.com/es/2024/5-nove… On November 5th people were blocking traffic and setting fires on the Ayalon highway in Tel Aviv, to protest the firing of Defense Minister Yoav Gallant: timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry…

I was pretty sure it had something to do with the axing of Gallant. Like here, Israel's political scene is complex and very divided. They have their own Antifa like anarchists and hard core leftists all fueled and financed by outside entities. Political and national security issues are often intertwined.
