Big pharma ads on tv make me wanna gag. People happy and dancing taking the poison with a quick narration of side effects that are often worse than the illness. Not to mention every other commercial being for little blue and yellow pills. Young girls promoting blue chew for their "man". Are the boyfriends all older men? Good riddance.
Not the same thing at all. I can see where someone would want to voice that as a concern (and most definitely rightly so). It needs to fall in the same stovepipe as guns and tobacco products.

What about the First Amendment? There needs to be a middle ground - truth in advertising, but also limiting censorship.
They banned cigarette ads on TV long ago. We need to ban drug ads.
When I was a kid lawyer commercials were illegal too.
