Texas education board approves optional Bible-infused curriculum for elementary schools
Texasβ education board has voted to allow Bible-infused teachings in elementary schools. The approval Friday follows other Republican-led states that have pushed this year to give religion a larger presence in public classrooms.
Nice win, but they are still slackers.

When I was in 4th grade, 66-67 SY, my teacher read a Bible passage everyday. I think that was the year that SCOTUS banned the practice.
And then the Muslims will argue that they should have the same chance to put Islamic teaching in front of the children. Wanna know what to tell them?....NOPE!. America was built on CHRISTIAN values, not ISLAMIC values. There is a place for Islam in this world, it's just not in America.
Wonderful news, hope it catches on.

Why?
??? Why???π
Yeah. Why violate the constitution and teach special interest subjects to kids that are forced to go to school? Seems grossly inappropriate. This is not what public school is for. Private is another matter.
"In God We Trust" ...Is that not the official motto of the United States, and it reflects the historical and cultural significance of faith in the nations identity...??
No. That is a phrase attached to our fiat currency. Also, the phrase does not specify christianity, anyway. The phrase does not Trump the constitution and has no bearing on our religious freedoms. This is the same as teaching islam in texas public schools. You can surely see how that would be a problem, I'm sure.
