And U.S. is still supporting ISIS rebels think.
Tracking the seemingly apparent Collapse of the Syrian Front and Assad?
Or has something else popped off regarding the Russians and Turks?
Russia is sending fighters and soldiers to Syria again.
Iran will be next to send troops to assist Syria.
200 million man army crossing the Euphrates soon? Wouldn't be difficult to see them try to escalate this.
They’ve had Troops there for years. Supporting Assad.
Guessing they’ll need to surge numbers because the shock advance has seemingly thoroughly routed the Syrian Army in a few key areas. And they need to stem the bleeding and give the Syrian Army time to reform. Lest they loose their bases and strategic positions in the region.
Wonder how their logistics and equipment chains are holding up. They aren’t the Soviet Union with bottomless numbers of Men and Machines anymore.

Add potentially supporting Large numbers in prolonged operations in the Mediterranean. Their supply corps is going to have an unenviable time of it keeping track of it all.

From the 15 th century Ottomen Empire though today Turks and Russians have been interacting for centuries. The Crimean Khanate, a Tatar Vassal State of the Sultan, had a long history of harassing the Russian tsardom. Led by Deviet Girey Khan, the Tatars were halted only 50 kilometers south of Moscow at the Battle of Molodi in 1572. This event would set the tone for the next century, as Russians and Ottomans continuously harassed each other over domination in Ukraine through their respective local vassals.
