This guy starts off by saying “I want to give you some hope and joy”…and didn’t mention Jesus once. In this month. In this time of year. The reason for the season. And he’s talking about truth? About victory? He said all these words and had zero interest in the ONLY one that brings hope and joy. The ONLY one that can bring truth and victory. And that’s Jesus Christ. I could barely listen to this. How could you use these words knowing, or just completely ignorant of, and not mention the Lord. I think it’s insulting….
But I’m being sensitive I know. I understand Jesus doesn’t need defending. This just hit me wrong is all. It’s just that, daily I’m thankful for those exact words Hope and Joy. And to hear someone say that and not mention Jesus just bothers me. Sorry if I’m bringing the mood down. But people need to understand, without Jesus, we all would have nothing. Esp hope and joy. And if anyone understands revelations, the savior of the world isn’t here yet. Trials and tribulations will continue to come. We have a moment here to pray and hope, for our country and leaders to steer this country in a better direction. But without God at its center. We will have gained nothing.
So he either forgot about Jesus in his speech here. Or never knew Him to begin with. That did help. Hope, although not as powerful as Love, is an amazing thing. Did you ever here about the experiment done with the rats and hope? An experiment was done with three rats. All three treading water until they drowned. It took around 15 mins. The next set of rats were placed in the water. Around the 15 min mark they were removed, dried off, a bit of rest, then placed back into the water to see how long they lasted again. Wonder how long?
…60 hours. Because the second set learned about hope. A possibility of rescue. A chance. So they persevered. Kept at it. All because of hope. Hope is real. Without hope, we don’t try very hard. Jesus gave us humans hope. We will be rescued. We will be saved. So to mention something like hope and especially Joy, these are the things that makes up God. Like love, these are some of the most powerful things in this universe. Things that make up what God is. Love, hope and joy. Of course love, is the greatest.
