The thing is that Daniel didn't actually kill him. He subdued a violent perp, and the guy who died was not a healthy man to start with. He expired in police custody, reportedly because nobody wanted to touch his filthy person.
Anyway, leave it to Fox to use words so cleverly. "On trial for killing a homeless man" sounds like he's presumed guilty. On trial for being a hero would be more accurate.
Is there a law that prohibits the press from saying a person is guilty ahead of a trial by his peers?? There should be stiff penalties for this which are enacted immediately. This taking years to get through a trial is crazy. I just re-watched the Sean Ellis documentary on Netflix - 22 years to get justice - ridiculous and crazy! Swift justice will soon deter criminal behaviour and actions!
