Very well done.

If only all those in sports with multi-million contracts did the same, instead of buying 4 homes, 6 cars or hundred thousand dollar cars. Most of the athletes are self-centered and forget their own humble backgrounds and instead buy frivolous things. The people who deserve a higher income are: police officers, fire fighters, EMT’s and our military. All of these put their lives on the line each and every day. Athletes should have a salary cap. Even at 1 million/year that is more than the average person makes in a lifetime.
Many average folks make a million….it’s when it’s in a lump that one can do more with it. Salary caps are not conducive to a free market. Just like minimum wage requirements…. Pay should should start at $0.01 and go up from there. The market will adjust to what it can bear.
I grant you that $1 million in a lump sum goes further, but $1 million today is not the same as say 20 years ago. I do dispute making $1 million as average folks. Most workers are lucky if they make $100,000 before taxes. Athletes are way over paid compared to those who risk their lives daily: police, firemen, military. They make a paltry salary.
