Jan 6 doesn't have to take place in order for Trump to be inaugurated on Jan 20 as President. Once the electors sign their certificates and transmit them to an official in DC he is clear to be sworn in as President.
There isNOConstitutional stipulation as to CiC waiting until Jan 20th.
