There is no way that Chyna has the capability to manufacture the chips needed for AI applications - they have tried and failed. If they did manage to coble AI together it was made from sanctioned advanced chips that they managed to still get their hands on. I am withholding my judgement on this. Chyna is very good at facades and psyops. The timing of this release is suspect.

Like I have said in another thread:
China was lying about their tech for years, from electric cars to military hardware. Why wouldn't they lie about their AI achievements?
Because from what heard on Chinese Social media, their high-end computer development is in the dumps with companies folding and equipment getting sold for scrap. If their chip development is rolling along nicely, they wouldn't have problems on the domestic manufacturing.
So, my bet is that they stole the AI coding, probably have some illegally-gained hardware, and are vastly exaggerating the performance of their systems.
Exactly. They have very poor yields on the wafers they are able to produce and those still don't come anywhere near where we are in processing capabilities. They are several generations behind the West. They don't even have the advanced lithographic equipment to even try. Yes, they are several chip companies that have gone belly up this last year. There was another one just last month. They don't have anything that they haven't stolen and the rest they make up. There is more going on here than the surface propaganda would imply. I am waiting for the real AI techie nerds to chime in and give us the real scoop. The fact it is open source makes me pause. That is not something the CCP does unless they are on a fishing expedition. Proceed with caution.
Thought you might be interesting in this. Someone from China with expertise in how the CCP operates and does very good analysis. She brings up some really good points and rationale for her conclusions. She is leaning towards our thinking that there is something not right here and there is too much hype - typical with every fake thing the CCP promotes. I hope this will be worth your time. I have been waiting for someone to break this all down.
Breakthrough or bluff? DeepSeek and the hidden game of AI domination
Did anyone here try this DeepSeek? I did. Tried asking bunch of times. Everytime I got "Error".
I think its safe to say that we are safe from this hype!
