I think amazon doing this is awesome. Shows the normies exactly what was made in China and they can equate that with the low quality products sold by amazon. everyone knows amazon shit is garbage and now they know why.
People LIKE seeing "free shipping" (even though it's included in the price) ----- this way they think ALL of their money is going to the quality of their product.
Listing an extra charge will make the product look poorer quality, but expensive to get here.
This is a great comment. A lot of the sellers try to hide it, and end up using a San Francisco address. Chinese companies do that all the time. Usually you can tell by the name of the seller/business. It will end up being a couple of English words that don't go together naturally, like "Max Open" or "Free Life". Now (unless you are buying something not tariffed) it will be clear.
We were already paying a tariff tax kek, started when we exported all of our employment to china. Who decided that we were responsible for lifting china out of poverty in exchange for this mess we have now? Gay.
To those that understand tariffs it'll just read as an inverse "Made in USA" label, showing us what's really made in the US and what isn't. They'll probably stop once they realize it promotes more domestic production and sales, proving that the tariffs are a good thing. I wouldn't expect it to last long, not that I want to do much business with amazon.
Tariffs are on wholesale cost, not retail price, this will not go how they think it will and only serve to show how bad dropship resellers are ripping people off.....
It would be very easy for someone to write an extension that does the math. These sellers don't want the public to know their wholesale cost. So if the tariff is 200% and the tariff tax is $20 on a $500 item, we know it only cost them $10 wholesale. Imagine a web extension that showed the wholesale cost right next to the tariff cost of every single item made in China. They will pull this very quickly.
Anything Amazon is currently selling came over on a container ship months ago. Certainly before any tariffs. It’s just like the gas scam we see, prices shoot up immediately after an increase in oil when that gas was purchased long before any change in prices.

This is great! Now everyone can see how much Amazon relies on Chinese slave labor for production of all the cheap shit we just have to have delivered within hours of our impulses!
Hopefully, they have a search feature for "no tariffs included," as this would mean it is American Made and Shipped!
Just pointing out it doesn't mean it is made in America. There are many other countries Amazon imports from, and a few aren't tariffed. It will be as close as we ever get though.
Except for Russia, Belarus, Cuba, and North Korea - probably because of sanctions. However - he paused most of the tariffs for that 90 day period to give countries time to negotiate. He fast-tracked China.
I think the general idea is that if you were to see a high tariff expense associated with anything you shop for, whether on Amazon or anywhere else, it's safe to say it's from a country that is not playing fair with us, and has thus received a high tariff.
I am pretty sure you are right that tariffs are not on Russia, Belarus, Cuba, and North Korea due to sanctions, meaning we can't buy anything from them anyway.
Yes, sanctions were paused, but I think the whole Amazon story was to come true once the sanctions go into effect and they are no longer paused.
If you see tariffs being included in anything right now, it is very possible that the company is price-gouging and should be reported for that illegal activity. I've seen some lib business owners raising prices and blaming Trump's tariffs, and until they actually go into effect, it's a lie and they are illegally price-gouging their customers.
I’m looking forward to this! It’s very difficult to determine where products I’m interested in on Amazon are made. Many times I have to go into the reviews to find out if they’re made in China or not. Now, at a quick glance, I can determine if they’re made in China or not and avoid those Chinese made products. Thank you Jeff Bezos!
“Is Jeff Bezos still a Trump supporter?” What a stupid question. Questions like that show just how indoctrinated the press is. So supporters of each other must be like minded? This tells me the reporter can’t (or doesnt want to) think critically,
Sounds like Amazon needs an SEC, NLRB, DOJ, FCC, FEC series of investigations. If it was good enough for Elon Musk when he came out in support of Trump, I think Jeff Bezos should have the pleasure.
Ebay is way faster on the shipping with any top seller. A lot of the time they have more selection and better prices. It's gotten a lot more streamlined as well in recent years.
Why do I get the feeling this is less about Trump tariffs, and more about charging more for stuff we don't know the origin of?
Once Amazon starts this up, watch the wording carefully. If I were a skeptic, I'd say the charge will be written in such a way regular people will glance over it as a tax, but legally it'll qualify as a fee or surcharge.
And when called out on it, they'll just say; Ooops, thanks for letting us know about Product X, we'll get that 100% American merchandise coded correctly asap.

What a great idea.
Just getting started. Wait until I unpack my dynamic Corporate Structures. The future will be exciting, growing and strong for Loyal Americans.

This will backfire big time.
This will hurt Amazon more than Trump.
That is true....
I think Amazon reversed their decision.
I saw that also.
And call it amAmerican
Call is Mississippi, and have those arrow smiles between all the i's so its clearly an Amazon replacement, but better.
I like the way you think. 🤔
How wonderful. With just a glance i will be able to know when I'm buying American.

Genius! Looking on the bright side!

Good. Makes it easy to refuse to buy.

My Under Armour stock is up 15% since buying recently.
Buy American!
A lot of under armor products are made in China
I wasn't aware of that. Their HQ is in Maryland.
I used to work part-time for a major outdoor chain. Under armor, Simms, Sitka and orvis have a lot of their products made in China
Yes, Simms is China made--

I own several UA clothing items. All say made in America.
They cheat on those labels. Aside from flat-out fraudulent claims, these exist: https://www.amazon.com/White-Woven-Sewing-Garment-Clothing/dp/B07ZBZYTXL

Pre covid will likely make that way off. Lots of production left China already forgot her Asian countries .
Nope-
Under Armour products are not made in the USA. Primarily, they are made in Asia and Southeast Asia countries like China, Jordan, and India.

Also,
Amazon says never planned to show shoppers how tariffs hiked prices, after Trump called it 'hostile'
Now now, I agree with Amazon doing this. High time we see what the gov't, (any gov't), is stealing from us as we go about our daily lives.
Having said that, I also think EVERY SINGLE TAX, LOCAL/STATE/FEDERAL, SHOULD BE LISTED AS A SEPERATE LINE ITEM on an invoice/receipt.
That's great. Short of a Made in America search feature or function, we get a made in China one. Works for me.

I previously asked Amazon to note which products were from China. They declined.
But they'll tell me now. :D
If Bezos did this why was he at a prime spot at the inaguration?
Same reason as Zuckfuk
Amazon is denying this now.
Good, it alerts the buyer that the item is foreign made and will cost more with tariffs, then they can refuse to buy or find a cheaper domestic item.
Sounds like Amazon needs an SEC, NLRB, DOJ, FCC, FEC series of investigations. If it was good enough for Elon Musk when he came out in support of Trump, I think Jeff Bezos should have the pleasure.
Good to know. Our subscription is coming due. I'll cancel this time.
We are already paying tariffs, but they didn't want you to know that.

Amazon changed its mind. Wonder why?

There's absolutely no reason for it to have Trump's name on that line, if they say anything it should simply be tariff tax.
And good!
Zuck lears at bezo wife tits
Hey Amazon ----- this is gonna bite you in the ass.
Force your fucking political agenda ----- lose customers.
Just ask Larry Fink about his "woke" idea.
Time to boycott Amazon?
Time to cancel Amazon go back to shopping local. Or I'll use it to onky buy American. I try to do that now but it takes more time to figure out.
