May 7, 2025 at 11:30 AM Timeline of events:
Between approximately 5:45 PM and 6:00 PM - The juveniles were at the park on the swings located off Cory
Way, where they were forced to leave by the suspect.
6:17 PM – The reporting party calls dispatch, stating her brother received a text that someone was threatening
to kill him. The reporting party is currently driving around trying to find her brother.
6:18 PM - Dispatched as “threats” call.
6:23 PM - First unit arrived on scene
6:39 PM – Victim’s phone pings area the suspect’s residence (Not exactly at the suspect’s residence)
6:39 PM – Deputies in the immediate area searching for the juveniles / suspect
6:46 PM – Reporting party receives a phone call from her brother, stating that her brother is in a basement
6:55 PM - Juvenile victim calls 911, says they are in a crawl space
6:55 PM – Deputies arrived at the suspect’s residence, and the suspect is detained
6:59 PM – Juvenile located in the crawl space
7:03 PM - Suspect in custody: 7:03 PM
Deputies ultimately used the reporting party’s cell phone to track the victim’s phone to the suspect’s residence.
The juveniles were at the park on the swings located off Cory Way. SAAVERDA came out of nowhere with
his fists balled up, asking a juvenile why he thinks he is so tough and telling them that he was a member of the
Cartel. The juvenile stated SAAVERDA, then proceeded to slap him in the face, telling them that he was not
scared of jail and that if he went to jail, he was going to kill them. The juvenile stated that SAAVERDA then
told them they were going to go for a walk and to act normal and not look at any cars. SAAVERDA then took
them down an alleyway where he had them hop the fence into the back yard of 250 Johnson Lane.
The juvenile stated SAAVERDA, then took his phone and told him to unlock his phone and delete everything
he had on there. The juvenile stated SAAVERDA used his phone to record them while he beat them. The
juveniles were then forced into the crawl space under the house. The juveniles were continually removed from
the crawl space and beaten.
All three juveniles were transported to the hospital, and SAAVERDA was transported to the Lyon County Jail
for booking.
No further information will be released at this time.

The boys were 13 and 14 years old. My 3 granddaughters were at the park when the man confronted the boys and hit one of them. The girls ran to my daughter’s house where they were at until my other daughter got home from school. Daughter 1 locked the doors and called the police. Meanwhile, the man was forcing the boys to walk through an alley and across the road with instructions to keep their heads down and not to make eye contact with any passing cars to the house they were found at. He tells them he’s cartel and he will kill them if they don’t comply. He tells them to jump the back fence. At this point, daughter one has taken the girls to daughter 2’s house as daughter 2 had just gotten home. Now daughter 2 has all three girls and was going to take them to a local restaurant to keep them together and distracted as the park incident happened in daughter 1’s neighborhood. As she is leaving, a police officer was asking her son about the location of one of those boys. My daughter asked why he was talking to him and he told her a boy was missing. She asked if she could help and at that moment, they see a very distraught woman walking down the street looking at her phone. Daughter 2 then finds out that the woman’s son sent her a message for help and had his location on. It was pinging in the area. She spoke broken English and her phone was in Spanish. Daughter 2 sends the girls into the house with their brother. She then helped the mother and the cop pinpoint the location to one house. The officer was told by another neighbor that he witnessed three boys jumping over the back fence. The officer then approached the man standing inside said fence and asks if the boys are there. The man tells him no, that they went to the canal. My daughter tells the cop, no, the phone is still pinging here. The cop tells her and the mother to wait there while he checked the front of the house and to call 911 if they saw him try to run. He goes around and lo’ and behold, the guy is running away from the house but was caught. Then they went into the house and further pinpointed exactly where the boys were-under the house in the crawl space, tied up and beaten. The mother collapsed on my daughter, thanking her for helping her save her son when she saw that he was okay. As for why the guy did this, I don’t know. They knew him from inside the mobile home park. If you saw the update I posted, you know the guy carved his initials into one boy’s hand and filmed himself repeatedly pulling them out and beating them with a rake handle with one of their phones. The man forced the boy to erase everything on his phone previous to the filming. He told them he’d kill them and he didn’t care about jail. Maybe the guy was upset about some beef that happened at school? I don’t know. Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ listened to them- the mother, my daughter and my granddaughters who were praying together that those boys would be found and okay. God delivered us. I found out after, as it’s not feasible to stop and call Mom for prayer when time is of the essence. All praise goes to Him.
