Israel is the size of Rhode Island. Iron Dome cost lots and lots of money.
Imagine the cost of covering the continental US.

Pre-drone dome. Drones have changed the game because they are cheap yet powerful. It’s like a denial of service attack for an anti-air defense system because the drones are cheaper.

But a missile did get through. Because they really penetrated it with multiple missiles.
Iron dome? Nah, we’re getting a Golden Dome. Ground and space based DEWs.
Maybe the gold dome uses Frequency weapons and just sends a wave facing the missles detonating them when they pass thru the wave so doesn't matter if u sent 1000 missles they would just be like hitting a wall and stop 100%
Need to consider how often Israel has to use it compared to the USA.. what would be hardly ever where, Israel's system goes off weekly and has been like that for many years now, defending off random launches from it's aggressive neighbors.
Iran's stockpile is not great. They do have to be expidicious.
Trump announced the Golden dome program not iron dome. A different technology for a different age. I suspect it is more to do with electromagnetic warfare that can disarm kinetic attacks as well as DEW and other Technolgies.
Possibly. Injured in nearby medical someone earlier said what got through were drones and we are now watching actual missiles getting through and I thought some did earlier.
Iron Dome is a tired old technology. Completely useless against Hypersonic missiles and barely deflects conventional inbounds.
In contrast, the US has 10-year-old tech, that I know of first-hand, that can disable guidance systems in the most sophisticated inbounds.
Rest assured the Golden Dome system is so far advanced that it will look like magic to our enemies' conventional weapons systems. What is far more dangerous to the US is administrations that let CCP spy ballons coast along gathering intel on our power grids for days on end without doing a damn thing about it.
