Trust me. It's absolutely breaking news that a lot of the breaking content that is labeled BREAKING is not necessarily breaking, but it can be reasonably labeled BREAKING to break your attention, so that it's breaking!!!!
Full breaking use of multiple breaking exclamation marks, heck, that's also totally breaking!!!! Like, Breaking!!!!

But “BREAKING” implies an event is unfolding in real time - not years ago. Nothing wrong with posting past events, just don’t mislabel them with the overused and abused BREAKING

It is so overused that "FOX NEWS ALERT" has become meaningless.

I wouldn’t know how to do it but, I would like to see a timer, say 8 hrs, that removes the “breaking” and leaves the rest of the post.
