Control demonstrated through SECO. Payload deploy successful (first for starship). Engine relight on orbit successful. Good entry, landing burn, and soft splash.
At exactly T+47:00 (I know, right?), a very energetic explosion blows a hole in the engine skirt and aft flap. Despite this, the ship landed norminally.

Ty, great channel
SO glad you posted BB, knew you had to be watching!
After 2 frustrating launch dates we had a great one! The Starship is a beauty and loved the views from the interior from the Starlink cameras.
Yes I couldn't look away. The flight we've been waiting for ! Starship is back !
I bet POTUS was watching and probably called Elon..😺
Get this. At exactly 47 minutes 0 seconds into the flight, there was an explosion that blew a hole into the side of the ship and the aft flap. But it still landed no problemo.
We saw that!! Couldn't figure out what blew up but scared the Dickens out of us! Thought the entire Star Ship was about to blow! Whew!
Hubby heard/read today that they left something open on purpose...🤔
The timing is quite suspicious. They intentionally did a bunch of other things to stress test the vehicle, like leaving off heat shield tiles In vulnerable places, opening the flaps all the way up into the plasma stream after they were already taking damage. If I learned they intentionally blew up a copv or a chill line or something, I would not be surprised at all!
Yeah..was this all just to text the systems?
Yes and It's crazy, because a fully and rapidly reusable space launch system has never been built before, so they are still working the bugs out.
T- 3 minutes
Cannot find a single MSM story about this successful flight. Or even about the attempt.
