Aside from people on boards like GAW, I wonder what % of people actually understand the true purpose of the cartels as well as the actual scope of their power and influence.

I must confess, I'm a little bit surprised that after the President designated them as military targets and the subsequent engagement of the military to destroy them, we haven't had any moments (that I'm aware of) where there's been an effort to educate the American people as to the cartels' level of influence and organizations they have ties with.

We are in the midst of a Great Awakening and showing the citizenry what these cartels are all about should be a part of that, IMHO. But I assume there's a reason for education not accompanying the military strikes.
