Just to try to break up this circle jerk echo chamber, I feel like loudly announcing that I'm going to make a point of watching the Superbowl Halftime show this year. I'm going to set an alarm on my phone and everything to make sure I watch it.

I hate football, always have. That's what happens when you grow up in a huge family in the deep south, and football is a way of life. One of the best things about moving away from my hometown and not living within driving distance of my family I never have to watch another football game in my life.

But I love being a contrary person, so I want everyone to know that I WILL be watching the halftime show. I'm going to let everyone know that every time I see a post about it.

I think that I'm going to buy every product advertised as well. Just to be contrary. I'm going to stream the halftime show on every device in my house and make all my kids and my husband stream it as well.

The more people post about how they won't watch it, and how they never watch it, the more I'm going to buy of the products advertised. Unless it's cars. I can't afford that shit. I'm going to counteract all the people boycotting it as much as I can.

And then I'm going to regale everyone with a minute by minute critique of Bad Bunny's performance. Though he's going to have to really bring his A game to beat Rhianna's sign language interpreter or Kendrick Lamar calling Drake a pedophile in front of millions and millions of people.

I'm looking forward to keeping everyone up to speed on the halftime show that, again, I'm totally going to watch.
