They try to cover up the premium increases with the rise of staff and doctor costs, but those are not double digit increases. Or the expense of drug costs, but those are going down and will go down even more.
The only logical reason is the change in the group risk pool. A combination of the Jab and all of the illegals. Even if there is perfect success in not paying for the illegal sā healthcare programs, they still get to go to the emergency room. Hospitals will recoup that money somehow. And that somehow is to pass along the costs to you.
Perhaps if hospitals are not reimbursed for non "life-threatening" conditions, they will stop treating illegals in ERs. The law says you cannot turn away someone with a life-threatening condition. Using the ER as a clinic is a monumental waste of resources. We lived in a town where locals would call EMS, get a ride across town, then walk away without going into the ER. They used EMS to get a ride across town; then a short walk to Walmart.
Using the ambulance as an Uber happens everywhere. I spent many years in the field. The heartbreaking calls are the ones where the elderly call just so someone will come over and talk to them.
