The biggest reason Gen X is what Gen X is, is they DIDN'T have much control over us. We played outside, with each other. We went to church and did chores and respected teachers and elders. I doubt we were taught all truth in school, but I at least DID have a firm grounding in civics and US History, heavily focused on our founding. I watched very little TV compared to what is watched today.
