I will try to break it down: This guy (I cannot bring myself to call him "reporter" or "journalist") conflates immigrants with illegal aliens without batting an eyelid. The numbers he is quoting are from legal immigration. He then takes the percentage of those immigrants that are on food stamps and somehow turns that number into the percentage of illegals that rake in all food stamps. There are roughly 200,000 Afghan immigrants in the US, 45% of that is just under 100,000; around 165,000 Iraqi, 34% of that is 55,000; From Somalia, about 220,000, 42% is about 95,000; 730,000 from Haiti, 23% of those gives us 168,000. Now add all of these LEGAL immigrants/refugees that receive food stamps and you get 418,000. That number is roughly 1(one) percent of the food stamps recipients in the US. This dude then reaches deep into his #ss to pull the figure that 59% of all ILLEGAL immigrants are on food stamps... The ineptitude of this guy's logic is abysmal. P.S.: I am NOT saying that illegals do not get food stamps. Heck, they get free hotels and debit cards. But what passes s info on the news nowadays is in the gutters.
To legally move to many other countries, you must prove a certain net worth and a 'secured' income stream before you are (a) permitted to work and (b) establish a residence and own property there. This is specifically designed to keep people from moving there and becoming a burden on the 'system' and the current tax paying citizens in that country.

I focused on legal immigrants because that is the metric this talking head on Newsmax is giving us. I agree illegal aliens are a burden on education, health care, food stamps, wages and crime. I would make a distinction in legal immigrants between refugees and other form of immigration; the refugees are definitely a burden, not so much for the others.
International law and agreements say that a "refugee" must go to the nearest country to their own that is safe for them.
It does not say they should get on a plane (at American taxpayer expense), fly halfway around the world, and then get free housing, food stamps, health care, education, etc.
So, these so-called "refugees" are actually illegal invaders, too.
Plus, it is the globalist criminals who created wars and other hardships in certain countries for the purpose of justifying shipping third-worlders to first world countries. The heads of these NGO's and their co-conspirators should be prosecuted.
