Not the new modernist no-talent types anyway. I'd accept some of the old-school ones though who knew how to build some badass buildings. But at some point they lost their talent it's kinda sad actually
Billie Tsien (chair) - Terrible, no talent modernist. Probably chinese spy
Bruce Becker - nothing special, has converted a bunch of modernist office buildings (ugly ones) into low-income housing, and done some rehab on more historic stuff, new construction is mostly modernist
Justin Garrett Moore (he/him) "is a transdisciplinary designer and urbanist who serves as the program director for the Humanities in Place program at the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, where his work focuses on advancing equity, inclusion, and social justice through place-based initiatives, built environments, cultural heritage projects, and commemorative spaces and landscapes". So yeah you get the idea.
You can tell the Michelle Obama Wing used to be a Pizza Hut.
It took me a minute but I get it now!! Hilarious. Once a Pizza Hut always a Pizza Hut!
it doesn't matter how the building "identifies," everyone knows when it's a Pizza Hut.
No FREE MASONS need to apply, thank you for your consideration in this matter.

You can't teach style and class. It's like honesty or courage... either you have it, or you don't.
If these architects don't have style or class, then they never had it. They didn't lose it.

Here's the lineup of FORMER board members: https://www.cfa.gov/about-cfa/who-we-are Ranked from worst to best:
THESE SHOULD BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY
Billie Tsien (chair) - Terrible, no talent modernist. Probably chinese spy
Bruce Becker - nothing special, has converted a bunch of modernist office buildings (ugly ones) into low-income housing, and done some rehab on more historic stuff, new construction is mostly modernist
Hazel Ruth Edwards (vice-chair) - likely Diversity hire rubber-stamp, professor at Howard, can't find anything she's designed but sure talks a lot about race (even though she looks at least half white) https://www.radcliffe.harvard.edu/news-and-ideas/place-making-at-howard-university-and-beyond
Peter Cook - All modernist slop, odd looking non-buildings https://hga.com/portfolio/?_sfm_pdr_markets=300
Justin Garrett Moore (he/him) "is a transdisciplinary designer and urbanist who serves as the program director for the Humanities in Place program at the Andrew W. Lisa Delplace - Landscape architect professor, nothing too bad but gives me bad vibes and has bad taste in glasses https://www.ovsla.com/team/lisa-e-delplace-fasla/
MAYBE KEEP THESE GUYS BELOW BUT PROBABLY NOT
Bill Lenihan - OK his firm does a bit of everything and even some more classical stuff so i'll give him the benefit of the doubt
thomas luebke - Actually a pretty strong historic/classical voice so maybe they will bring him back?
I spoke too soon - apparently Thomas Luebke is actually on Staff as the Secretary so maybe they keep him around that may not be bad
Good move. Back to classic beauty. That Obama thing is disgusting, which makes it kind of fit its owner. Too bad for Chicago.
That God-awful building looks like her head.
