Offensive? Hahahahahaa.... I heard about these signs, they were put up as an anti-Cruising effort some years ago. Men would cruise around this open-sewer area looking for gay pickups and 15 minutes of fun. It was sort of like the city's answer to the "Broken Window" theory of urban decay. So taking down these signs is almost like going around a neighborhood and actually breaking windows to hasten that area's decay into decadence and unnatural behavior.
Right. People were tired of gays who were high on drugs (probably meth which is a big gay drug) driving around their neighborhood and meeting up and having sex in their cars. So they put up a sign that said no u turn.
