Yes, of COURSE, the people who have schemed, clawed, deceived, and murdered to get to the top of tyrannical power structures in this world ARE EVIL and KNOW FULL WELL THAT THEY ARE, and "celebrate" evil because they are (to at least some extent) CUT OFF from the love and empathic connection with others that we are MADE FOR. Being cut off from true connection mades them insane, toxic, and dangerous, and covering up their lack of connection drives them to toxic and often criminal behaviors.
Democracy was an attempt -- not one that necessarily works well -- to improve the odds that people governing a nation are not psychopathic. Sometimes that works (I believe Trump and most of his admin are good examples), but more often not (most recent US Presidents included).
