My dear friend, I hope you will not be offended, that certainly is not my intent, however I was raised Catholic and was an altar boy, but when I came to Christ, I put away foolish things, as it is written, in (1st Corinthians 13:11) "When I was a child I thought as a child, but when I grew up (came to Christ) I put away foolish things. I no longer saw myself as a Catholic, but as a Christian (a child of the living God). (John 1:12) says " TO AS MANY AS RECEIVED CHRIST TO THEM HE GAVE THE RIGHT TO BECOME SONS OF GOD" so if you have given your life to Christ, you are not a Catholic, but you are now God's child. If you study (Galatians 3:28) you will understand that God only sees two types of people, those who belong to Christ and those who don't, those who are righteous and those who are unrighteous, there is no in between, in other words God does not see Catholics Protestants Jews Greeks, God only sees those who are in Christ (belong to Christ) (are his sheep) and those who are not. You yourself mentioned, the number of things, the Catholic Church teaches that is in direct contradiction to the word of God. In (1 Corinthians 5:6) we are warned that "A LITTLE LEAVEN, LEAVENS THE WHOLE LOAF" in other words a small amount of false teaching or sin can perminate and corrupt entire communities.Therefore in (1 Corinthians 5:7) God's word says "PURGE OUT THE OLD LEAVEN THAT YOU MAY BE A NEW LUMP". When you do this, as (John 8:36) says, you will be free. " IF THE SON THEREFORE SETS YOU FREE, YOU SHALL BE FREE INDEED" Christ has called us out of denominational churches (man-made) and into HIS CHURCH a part of Christ's body, which is the true church.
