Umm, yeah, Gen X here. Growing up, name brand clothing wasn’t a thing that the average family bought on a regular basis, birthday, Christmas, maybe, but not just as a general thing. Candy bars —LOL —- nah, that was a treat, not an everyday item.

Yep, back to school I was able to go to the mall and get 3 "outfits" (shirt and pants basically)
That was about it for the year because I still had clothes from the previous year!
Don’t forget about the hand-me-downs :)
