Personally, nope. That's the dangers of associations. Try hard enough, you can link anything and everything. It was pretty reasonable mostly, though one can probably think up another 1001 such scenarios. But Evergreen and tree link at the end is too much, unless the author can find similar use of such symbolism. Most seeing eye or pyramidal stuff are masonic-like and use stone, NOT green trees.
