God is the Judge (Name of Daniel literally translate to Judge-God).

God hates sin and unrighteousness. He is holy and cannot allow sin in his presence.

Isaiah 6 - Isaiah had to cleanse his mouth with hot coals because he knew he was unworthy to be in God's presence.

"And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works." Revelations 20:12

Satan the accuser is currently able to accuse people before God - but God judges.

Satan will wage war in heaven and then will be kicked out of heaven to only be on the earth - this happens during the tribulation.

At the end of the tribulation, Satan and another (the beast and the false prophet) will be cast into the lake of fire - hell (the second death of torment forever). Everyone else will not be judged until the Judgement Seat 1000 years later - "small and great stand before God."

So yeah - sinners will get their punishment. They will not be allowed in God's presence.
