Much of what I am saying I remember from a book called Rulers of Evil that is very hard to find for real but free on archive.org. The first superial general and his first few Jesuits were students of Machiavelli and the book I think said the order was founded earlier than you said, I think 1534, but still after his death. I am literally typing this from memory on a phone, sorry. I will look for a reference for you. :)
