Attacking people "who say the quiet part out loud" just sounds like you're insisting you should be allowed the right of denial.
This is a place that deals in theories, right? You get mad at normies for plugging their ears to what you believe is a valid theory.
You can't turn on your own people for exploring theories and gathering evidence just because you find the conclusion to be distasteful. That's woefully unscientific for a group that labels themselves as researchers.
I also think that the whole "poisoning the well" thing is kind of fluid around here, isn't it?
Imagine that it's Jan 10, 2021. Someone puts out a theory that no, Trump will not publicly arrest Biden on inauguration day, but rather will appear to "lose", will appear to leave the White House, will appear to not be President, and Biden will appear to uneventfully take control of the country, and that the vaccine would be pushed by Trump as part of a master plan, but that despite looking bad, it'll just be optics, and Trump would secretly have everything under control.
That would have seemed like "poisoning the well" back then, because nobody here accepted the notion that Biden would get anywhere near the White House. It would have been labeled as dooming.
People are trying to adapt their theories to the reality they're seeing. Just because it's not what you believe doesn't mean it's more or less valid than what you believe, and you don't get to be the arbiter of truth on a site that is routinely accepting the notion that the truth of reality would quite literally drive unprepared normies insane.
