Australians have approximately 3.5 million registered(legal) firearms(April 2021) including some semi automatics for use by professional shooters.
The link below is from a firearms control organisation. They downplay the number of unregistered firearms because they don't like to admit that firearm control is ignored but many normal people.
The number of unregistered firearms is unknown, but is estimated to range between 1.5 to 6 million (November 2016)
The link below is dated November 2016, but compiled by people in the firearm owners and users movement and would be considered to be far more accurate considering the number of unregistered firearms.

Many of the unregistered firearms are semi automatics (many SKS rifles)
Since 1986 in NSW and VIC,semi automatics have been banned or restricted for professional use only.
In all the other States and Territories, the same conditions applied from 1996. The Authorities know these figures about the unregistered firearms, and they also know they really can't do anything about it. Up until now it has not been a problem, as,especially in the North(QLD, NT, WA)and generally in the "bush" these unregistered firearms were seen as insurance in a time of National Emergency, such as invasion from a Northern enemy, eg Indonesia, ect.
With the situation we are in now, it is anyone's guess what will happen now. Keep a watch on Northern and rural QLD,as at present they are not very happy about being asked to be vaxxed.
We will just have to see how this situation unfolds.
Australia is similar to the US,in the way that some people are well armed, but polite and tolerant. These people are bidding their time to see how this situation will turn out. Whether the Authorities will push these people too far,or slowly manipulate the situation to try pacify these firearm owners to control them.
If and when some of these people, who have been vaxxed, realise they have potentially had their health and lives compromised due to the vaxx, they will be very angery with the Authorities.
This is a potentially very dangerous situation with a very uncertain outcome.
The last situation anyone wants is to give the Government an excuse to bring in UN Peace keepers ( CCP Armed Forces) to protect foreign assets(CCP assets)
