Yeah the money angle is bullshit. Even if "money" is just his smooth brain term for the more accurate "wealth" it's still bullshit because depopulating the world and enslaving the remaining population nets you less wealth in the long run.

My money is on any of the following:

1. Lust for the drug of power.
2. Some religious or cult shit like Satanism.
3. They genuinely believe overpopulation will destroy us and want to preserve the planet for themselves and their dependents. Shit, maybe they can even see the future.
