I think there is a lot of confusion here on this.

This is talking about ballot harvesting. Ballot harvesting is legal in many states( including FL until last year, I believe). And it's something ALL political parties do, not just Democrats.

All it is is allowing a designated person to come pick up the ballot YOU filled out (legally) and take it to a designated recieving place. This is done for various reasons. A very common scenario in FL is where someone would go to a retirement home and collect all the ballots there and deliver them to a reception site.

I think many people believe that this posting is about someone stealing dozens of ballots and filling them out themselves or something. That's not what ballot harvesting is.

I would think that banning ballot harvesting would actually hurt the Republicans in FL. Older people tend to be pretty conservative, thus predominately Republican. They're also the ones who tend to have the most difficulty getting out to vote. And since FL has an enormous elderly population, it would seem that banning ballot harvesting would actually hurt the Republicans.

I hope this decision doesn't come back to bite DeSantis in the butt.
