I'm just curious, does our military even train our troops to fight against a near-peer or peer level or superior adversary anymore? Do we even have the capability and experience and training to go up against a world power anymore? I mean yeah we have absolute fucking naval superiority just because we're blessed with such amazing geography but when was the last time we actually went to war against a country that could realistically fight back?
I'm just curious, does our military even train our troops to fight against a near-peer or peer level or state level adversary anymore? I mean it seems like we have I'd say a good three generations of troops whose entire experience with war fighting basically involves going to the Middle East and shooting cavemen who are like I don't know three generations away from using swords to fight? Do we even have anybody left alive in this country who knows how to fight against a real army?
